Shadows lurking
In my mind
Haunting me
In the night
Voices
Weaving lies
Hands reaching
Offering false comfort
Smiles gleaming
Taunting me as I sleep
Figures in the distance
Refuse to go away
I close my eyes
I pinch my arm
I yell
I scream
